In the event that your child is not collected by an authorised adult, we will ensure that your child receives a high standard of care in order to cause as little distress as possible.
Your child will not leave the premises with anyone other than those named on the Registration Form or in the Collection Book or a social care worker.
If your child has not collected within ten minutes of the closing time, the following procedures will apply:
- The Collection Book will be checked for any information about changes to the normal collection routines.
- We will attempt to contact you at home or at work.
- If that is unsuccessful, we will make all reasonable attempts to contact the other nominated adults who are authorised by you to collect your child.
- The Directors will be notified.
If your child has not collected after one hour and we have not been able to contact you or any of your nominated adults to collect your child, the following procedures will apply:
- The Directors will be notified that your child has still not been collected.
- We will contact the local authority social care department.
- The child will stay at the club in the care of two members of our staff until the child is safely collected either by you, your nominated adult or by a social care worker.
- Under no circumstances will our staff go to look for a parent or take the child home with them.
- A full report of the incident will be recorded in the child's file.
- Depending on circumstances, we reserve the right to charge parents for the additional hours worked by our staff.
- Ofsted may be informed.
